Gallery FAQ

What does "Archival Quality" actually mean?

It means the materials used (acid-free paper and pigment inks) are designed to last for generations without fading or yellowing. Under gallery conditions, our prints are rated to stay vibrant for over 100 years.

Open Editions are available indefinitely and are intended as accessible decor. Limited Editions are strictly capped at a specific number (e.g., 25 prints). Once sold out, that image will never be printed in that format again, ensuring its rarity and value for collectors.

For our Limited Edition works, we exclusively use Hahnemühle German Etching (310 GSM). This is a heavy-weight, mold-made paper with a slight velvety texture that gives the photographs a beautiful, painterly depth. For Open Editions, we use premium Felix Schoeller archival papers.

The border protects the image edges from damage during handling and provides space for the artist’s signature and the edition number. It also allows a framer to mount the print without “covering” any of the actual photograph.

We use professional color-managed workflows to ensure accuracy. however, because every computer monitor is calibrated differently (some are brighter or warmer than others), there may be a very slight variation between your screen and the physical print.

Art & Quality

Authentication & Value

Will my print be signed?

Yes. All Limited Edition prints are hand-signed and numbered by the artist. Open Editions feature a discreet digital signature to verify authenticity.

Every Limited Edition print includes a physical, signed COA. This document serves as your “deed” to the artwork and is essential for its future resale or insurance valuation.

Yes, it is typically hand-written in the bottom corner of the white border (e.g., 5/25), along with the artist’s signature.

Edition numbers are usually assigned in the order they are purchased. However, if you have a lucky number or a specific request, please email us before ordering and we will do our best to accommodate you if it’s still available.

How is the artwork packaged?

Prints are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and shipped in heavy-duty, moisture-resistant cardboard tubes. We do not ship prints flat, as tubes provide much better structural protection against being bent in transit.

Yes! We ship to collectors worldwide using DHL Express, Aramex or FedEx. Shipping rates and delivery times are calculated automatically at checkout based on your country.

Because each print is custom-made and hand-inspected, please allow 5–7 business days for production. Shipping within South Africa usually takes 2–4 days, while international shipping takes 7–14 days.

Absolutely. We take full responsibility for the artwork until it reaches your door. If your print is lost or damaged during transit, we will replace it at no extra cost.

We strongly advise against unrolling the print yourself. Fine art paper is delicate and can be easily “kinked” or marked by oils from your skin. Please take the unopened tube directly to a professional framer. Damage caused by improper handling after delivery is not covered by our replacement policy.

Framing & Display

Do you offer framing?

To keep shipping costs low and prevent glass breakage, our online shop sells unframed (rolled) prints. For clients in Cape Town, we can arrange custom framing for local collection.

To ensure the safety of the work and to save you significant shipping costs, our prints are sold unframed (rolled in a tube). This allows you to choose a frame that perfectly matches your home décor at your local professional framer.n.

For clients based in and around Cape Town, we can arrange professional framing for local collection or delivery. Please contact us at orders@tfag.co.za before placing your order to discuss framing options and lead times.

We highly recommend UV-Protective Glass (Museum Glass). It prevents the sun’s rays from fading the pigments over time and significantly reduces reflections so you can actually see the art.

Avoid direct sunlight, high-humidity areas (like bathrooms), or hanging directly above a fireplace or heater. A wall with indirect, natural light is ideal.

Can I return a print if I change my mind?

Because each print is bespoke and custom-made to your specific size and paper choice, we do not accept returns for change of mind. Please ensure you have measured your wall space carefully before ordering.

If the shipping tube is visibly damaged, please photograph it before opening. If the print inside is damaged, notify us at orders@tfag.co.za within 48 hours. We provide a 100% replacement guarantee for any work damaged during transit.

In many cases, yes! If you have a specific wall space to fill, please contact us for a custom quote. (Note: Limited Editions cannot exceed their maximum original size).

Yes, the artist is available for bespoke landscape commissions or large-scale installations for hotels and corporate offices. Please use our Contact Form for inquiries.

You can sign up via the signup form at the bottom of our homepage. Members of the Trezor Collector’s Circle receive 24-hour early access to new Limited Edition releases before they go public.

Orders & Returns

Peace of Mind

I love the image, but I'm not sure if it will fit my room. Can you help?

Absolutely. We offer a complimentary Digital Mockup Service. Simply send a clear, straight-on photo of your wall and the name of the artwork you are considering. We will digitally “hang” the art in your space to scale, so you can see exactly how the colors and size work with your furniture before you commit.

While we are responsible for the print until it is delivered, we understand that accidents happen at framers. To protect your investment, every Limited Edition purchase includes “Framing Insurance.” If your professional framer accidentally damages the print during mounting, we will provide a one-time replacement print at 50% of the original cost (upon proof of damage), ensuring your collection remains intact.

Fine art photography is a tangible asset. By choosing a Limited Edition, you are purchasing a work with built-in scarcity. As an edition sells out, the remaining prints often increase in value. Unlike mass-produced decor, our prints are museum-grade, meaning they won’t fade and will hold their aesthetic and financial value for decades, potentially becoming family heirlooms.

We understand that buying art online requires trust. Trezor is a registered South African business, fully compliant with POPIA and the Information Regulator. Our artist, is a dedicated landscape photographer with a transparent process. We use secure, encrypted payment gateways (like PayFast/Peach) and provide real-time tracking for every shipment. You are also welcome to book a video call with the artist to view a physical print before purchasing.

We use a 100% Color-Accuracy Workflow. Our printers are calibrated to international gallery standards. While every phone or laptop screen has slight variations in brightness, our physical prints are the “true” version of the art. If you are extremely concerned about a color match (e.g., for a specific interior design project), you can order a small 10cm test strip on the actual paper for a nominal fee before ordering the full-size work.
