Authentication & COA
At Trezor Fine Art Gallery, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and long-term value of the artworks we produce. Each piece in our Limited Collector’s Edition series is a strictly controlled release, ensuring that your acquisition remains rare and exclusive.
1. What is a Limited Edition?
A Limited Edition print is a fixed number of impressions produced for a specific image in a specific size.
- The Limit: Once the edition of 25 (or the specified number) is sold out, that image will never be printed in that format again.
- The Promise: This scarcity is what drives the value of fine art over time. As the artist, I personally oversee the destruction of any test prints to ensure only the official numbered editions exist.
2. The Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
Every Limited Edition print is accompanied by a physical, hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. This document is your proof of provenance and should be stored securely (ideally in a fireproof safe or attached to the back of the frame in an acid-free envelope).
Your COA includes:
- The Artwork Title: The official name of the piece.
- The Edition Number: (e.g., 5 of 25).
- Technical Details: The date of capture, paper type (Hahnemühle German Etching), and ink specifications.
- Security Markings: A unique holographic serial number or embossed gallery seal.
- The Artist’s Signature: A hand-inked signature verifying the work.
3. The National Registry
Trezor Fine Art Gallery maintains a private, internal registry of every Limited Edition work sold. This allows us to:
- Verify Provenance: Assist you or future owners if the work is ever resold at auction or privately.
- Issue Replacements: In the rare event of damage, we can verify your ownership and issue a replacement print (provided the original is proven destroyed), maintaining the exact edition number in your collection.
4. Open Editions vs. Limited Editions
- Limited Editions: Aimed at serious collectors. Signed, numbered, and capped at a small quantity. Includes a COA.
- Open Editions: Accessible decor prints. These are signed digitally but are not numbered and do not come with a COA
